DENIA to BENIDORM by TRAM

The train from Dénia to Alicante, officially the TRAM, is the only railway service that the Marina Alta has had since 1974, when the route from Dénia to Gandia was closed. However, in 2016 it stopped providing service to undergo work to adapt the tracks and bridges along the route, being replaced by a bus until the project was completed. The complete journey requires the use of two lines, 9, which connects Dénia with Benidorm, and 1, between Benidorm and Alicante. In other words, a mandatory transfer must be made at the Benidorm station. However, and provisionally, a new transfer will be added in Teulada while the final works on the bridges between that municipality and Benidorm are completed, which is scheduled to be completed during the year following the reactivation of the service from Dénia.
