Finding Yosemite's Tallest Waterfall: Ribbon Fall (Yosemite Off Trail Series)

It's been described as Yosemite's most underrated waterfall. At 1,612' Ribbon Fall is nearly 200' taller than Upper Yosemite Fall and is the tallest single drop waterfall in North America. But where is it? This elusive waterfall is extremely seasonal and is partially hidden behind a large rock wall just to the West of El Capitan Gully. There is no official trail leading to Ribbon Fall; however, with a couple clues it isn't too hard to find. The hike isn't far but it isn't easy - and it is well worth it!
