Omni x200 70mai 360 degree 1080P Dashcam

The 70mai Omni X200 dashcam offers an impressive single-channel, 340-degree viewing capability.

Is this dashcam just a gimmick, or could it be genuinely useful?

At first glance, I thought this model might be more of a novelty than a practical tool, with the rotating head seeming like a bit of a gimmick. But after installing and using it, I've definitely changed my mind. This dashcam comes packed with some fantastic features, which I’ll cover in this video, with more to come soon!

Anyone walking by the car will immediately spot the dashcam, as it’s not designed to blend in or be hidden.

When the camera detects an impact, it shifts out of time-lapse mode to scan from the left front seat across the windshield to the right front seat.

It does even more:
Have you ever wished your dashcam could look to the side while driving, maybe to capture a specific scene or show traffic on either side as you make a turn?

With the Omni X200, all you have to do is say, "shoot left" or "shoot right," and it will adjust as directed.

Video quality is solid, with a 1080p resolution at 30fps. Please note that this video was recorded at 25fps, which may slightly affect the playback quality of in-car footage.

Mounting the dashcam is straightforward, and with just one wire, it’s easy to power on and set up.

In this example, the dashcam is powered by the UP03 hardwire kit, which keeps it running 24/7 as long as the battery voltage stays above 11.8 volts.

Some things to consider.
It is not a true 360 degree filming everything type camera like say a insta360.
It points in one direction but it can rotate its head which I liked. I have another dashcam in my car so I never miss what's going on in the front when it rotates. The Omni x200 is well made and simple to fit. Sometimes it will rotate the head or turn of the mic off for what appears no reason.
