Another successful C02 Dragster Race Day has been held at Noosa District SHS with almost 70 Year 10’s, 4 teachers and 5 year 11’s competed for the chance to represent our school at the State and National titles.

The aim is to design and build a timber vehicle that is propelled by a C02 canister along a 20metre track. The fastest cars reach speeds over 70 km/h and the best 8 cars are sent to the State titles held in September at a venue to be decided.

The top 8 in order of finish on race day are:
1st Micah Stephens (later disqualified due to car not to specifications)
2nd Ruby Buch,
Equal 3rd Blake Richards and Lee Field
Equal 5th Ashleigh Milnes, Sahna Styler-Jones, Isabelle Varty and Sonny Copeland (later disqualified due to car not to specifications)
Micah and Sonney’s cars will be replaced by Luccas and Dian from the year 11 race.

Teachers cars to go to State titles in order of finish are:
1st Brendan Commerford, 2nd Mr Endicott, 3rd Mr Stieger and 4th Mr Huggins

Best looking car to go to State titles to compete in the Show and Shine division is Elynora Dodd.
