Teams: Live transcription in Teams meeting - 2021 New Feature!

Описание к видео Teams: Live transcription in Teams meeting - 2021 New Feature!

Teams Meetings now has live transcription! Live transcription is a written record of the spoken text that occurs during a meeting. It identifies each speaker, is captured automatically in near real-time, and is available during and after the meeting. Live transcription is different from the meeting feature Live captions. Captions are not recorded. You could use Live transcription if you joined a meeting late and you need to quickly catch up on what is happening.

Live transcription can be viewed after the meeting, and download it as a Word document. Transcription can make your meeting more productive, as well as more inclusive for participants who are deaf or hard-of-hearing or have different levels of language proficiency. Participants in noisy places will also appreciate the visual aid.

How do I start live transcription?
Be in a scheduled meeting
Select "More options", the three dots in your meeting controls, and then select Start transcription.

How do I stop live transcription?
The meeting organizer and presenters can stop and then restart transcription during the meeting. (For info about organizer and presenter roles, see Roles in a Teams meeting.)
Select More options, and then select Stop transcription.
The transcription stops automatically when all participants leave the meeting.

Can you delete the transcript?
Yes. The meeting organizer is permitted to delete the transcript.
On the Recordings & Transcripts tab, next to the transcript, select More options, and then select Delete transcript.

For scheduled meetings.
When the spoken language is U.S. English.
On the installed desktop version of Teams.

Important: If your organization is using OneDrive for Business and SharePoint for meeting recordings, the IT admin should turn on Allow transcription in the Teams meeting policy and encourage users to start transcription in every meeting. This will make captions available in the post-meeting recording.

Note: If you don't see the transcription options, your IT admin has not enabled this feature for you.
