The Indian Armed Forces conducted precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam attacks in which 26 civilians were killed on April 22. A total of nine sites were targeted in the overnight strikes under the codename 'Operation Sindoor'. India said, "Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution."
