The songs are all composed and written by Pushpavanam Kuppusamy himself. Pushpavanam Kuppusamy is a well-known Tamil singer, lyricist, and composer. He is known for his work in reviving the Naatupura Paatu, a traditional Tamil folk art. He is a recipient of the Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu for his contributions to Tamil folk music. Pushpavanam Kuppusamy and his wife Anitha Kuppusamy have also sung together on a number of village folk songs.
