New in Ableton Live 12: Meld Synthesizer

Meld is a new bi-timbral MIDI synth in Ableton Live 12 with extensive sound design options that is also capable of MPE. Anything from evolving textural to atonal sounds, harmonic effects, and rhythmic drones can be produced. You can even use it to mimic sounds like bubbles or rain. The reason for this are its two oscillators that have a wide array of shapes or waves available plus two macro controls each, that change depending on the curves selected. Combined with a large modulation matrix you can effortlessly create and meld two radically different sounds or textures. After a brief sound demo we will examine its parameters in detail.
