Actor and presenter Floella Benjamin talks to Justin Johnson about using her time as a presenter on the childrens’ TV show Play School in the 1970s to challenge the all-white culture of Childrens’ BBC. Benjamin, who was at the BFI Southbank presenting a screening of West Side Story, was one of the few black presenters on television at the time.
