Massage for extensor hallucis longus | Trigger point therapy

Описание к видео Massage for extensor hallucis longus | Trigger point therapy

Extensor hallucis longus is one of those tissues that often go under the radar. It sits in between the peroneus tertius and the extensor digitorum longus and has a great little trigger point that can refer into the big toe, the ankle, and the peroneal arch.

This is a great tissue to be aware of when you're dealing with ankle sprains especially. Working it is a matter of using the first and second knuckle of your fist to work the short tissue between the peroneus tertius and the extensor digitorum longus. Make sure you get feedback from your client to keep the pressure in the sweet spot between effective treatment and comfort.
