Farriery or the shoeing of horses is an ancient trade that dates back to the Roman empire. A Farrier is a skilled craftsperson, capable of making shoes to suit all kinds of horses and their working conditions.

Since 1890 Farriers have to pass exams to be able to practice professionally. To learn more about the training process of how to become a Farrier, we traveled to Myerscough college in the North West of England to find the next generation.
