Just like Truth has to pass through three stages: firstly Ridicule, then Opposition and finally Acceptance, a Disciple Devotee can also be required to pass through three stages: Initiation Companionship, then Separation and ultimately Unison. You can't be separated if you were not together, and no question of being united again if you were not separated. Separation has been a part and parcel of every instance of Devotion par excellence so far. It's separation that brings closer, nearer and makes more inseparable.

Bulle Shah (Sufi Saint) is an ideal example on such an instance. In this video the devotion of Bulle Shah towards his Spiritual Master is characterized when Bulle Shah was separated from his Perfect Spiritual Master.
