Tapping Our Roots: Water and the Forest Service

Описание к видео Tapping Our Roots: Water and the Forest Service

2001. Water is the most precious commodity on earth. Good stewardship of our nation's forest means protecting our vital watersheds. In this program, we look at how the Forest Service places a high priority on managing watersheds across the nation. This program looks at three examples: The Los Angleles and San Gabiel Riers in Southern California, the Continental Divide along the Northern Rockies, and the Chesapeake Bay and all its many tributaries. In each case, the Forest Service is fulfilling its historic mission of restoring and conserving the quality and the flow of water.
