Tripp's First Horseback Field Trial Episode 16

After months of preparation and anticipation Tripp was entered in his first horseback field trial. Yes, the Skyline Brittany Clubs' 2017 Spring Field Trial held at Bonny Reservoir not far from Burlington, Colorado was Tripp's first trial and was he excited.

We entered him in both the Open Puppy and the Open Derby with him running in the 4th brace. Incredibly he was braced with a puppy named Stryker who happened to be the other puppy that we had in for evaluation. Or as he has become known locally - Not Tripp. Both puppies ran very nicely and were rewarded with First and Second placements with Stryker getting 1st and Tripp 2nd.

The Open Derby was very exciting. Tripp was in the second brace and while he was only about 11 months old and would be competing with dogs up to 24 months of age he went on to win!!! He had 3 nice finds and a very good race.

We couldn't be more proud of Tripp and look forward to the rest of the spring field trial season!
