Can you tell the difference between an amateur and a professional pianist? The test piece is Chopin's Etude op 10 #3. The piece is in a traditional three part (A-B-A) form. The piano is a Yamaha C6 7' grand.
Mics are Neumann KM184s in X-Y configuration
Symetrix SX302 mic preamp.
Digital capture and editing were done in Audacity.
The video section was filmed on a Canon 6D.
