After accomplishing his mission, what does Jack Layzon do to reward Kirin on a job well done?

A good ol' fashioned BACKSTABBING! He ordered his police troops to blast Kirin, and then send him to the Cabil Desert many miles away to leave him to die in the scorching sands.

Fortunately, Kirin was able to break free from his shackles, and then quickly take out a sand monster known as Sandora. Heated by both the desert, and his own rage, Kirin/Osman started his march of revenge back to the mainland to kill Layzon.

You will eventually fall into a deep pit, where Layzon realizes that Kirin is still alive, and orders his troops, as well as some certain other familiar faces, to make sure that Osman's body is buried and STAYS buried.

The pit leads into an underground mining complex. The first part of it isn't anything special, but then you get warped to the next section by some kind of anti-gravity rock.

This blue second section has more dangers to deal with such as lasers and bouncing barrels. Luckily, you can just destroy the incoming barrels with your kicks.

Then you pass by another anti-gravity rock, leading you to a green third section of the mine. From there, Kirin is greet by one of his three former allies of Teki. The order of which you right them through the game depends on which combination of anti-gravity rocks you passed by beforehand in this stage.

Because of my choices, Stage 3 has me fight against Cannons. He doesn't fight you directly. He instead teleports around to try and dodge your attacks. He mainly fights by making his mech in the background throw different parts of its body at you, such as its arms, legs, and face.

One top of all of that, Stage 3's boss fight has you in an area that uses yet another one of those anti-gravity rocks to swirl you around. Unlike in Strider, though, this time it's much more manageable to deal with, you can just jump in midair to escape the swirl, and as such, it can't hurt you each time you're caught in it. You might even be able to use it your advantage, and reach Cannons quicker so you can split him in half.

Once Cannons is finished, his mech will explode and slowly fall off the screen, too. The stage isn't entirely done yet, though. Just head to the right to finish it. Kirin will be greeted by a band of pirates preparing their submarine, and it seems like they're willing to help Kirin out!

And now this game is already halfway over!
