But what does that mean?

The word "Cinematic" gets thrown around a lot. Some people love it, and some people hate it. Personally, we think that it correlates to another word:

Intention.

Making small changes can have a massive impact on the way that a shot comes across, and most professionals will tell you that the difference between "Videography" and "Cinematography" in some way, shape, or form is the intention put into the frames. It's not JUST about adding lights or haze, or having black bars in your frame. But it's about using what you have available in a way that tells the story. It's a combination of a lot of small things to bring the vision to life.

To us, THAT is "Cinematic".
