Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You by Dolly Parton. Written by singer-songwriter Pebe Sebert and Hugh Moffatt, Joe Sun took the song to #14 on the Country chart in 1978. Dolly Parton covered the song in 1980 and took it to #1 on the US Country chart and to #2 on the Canadian Country chart. I’ve also always liked Merle Haggard’s version of this song.
