NYMR - 'LNER Weekend' - 5th October 2013

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway held an LNER gala over the weekend of 4th to 6th October. Six locomotives were in steam that day including two guest locomotives. The main star of the show was Peppercorn A1 60163 'Tornado' making its first visit to the line in BR Express Passenger Blue livery. A4 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' was also in the same livery and operating services. Lambton Tank 29 has been recently restored and was heating the coaches Saturday morning. The other visiting locomotive was in the form of American S160 6046 from the Churnet Valley Railway. Standard 4MT 75029 'The Green Knight' and B1 61002 'Impala' (61264) were on the Whitby Section.
