Boletus impolitus(Hemileccinum impolitus)
Fue descrito por primera vez por Elias Magnus Fries, como Boletus impolitus,
Sin embargo, en 2008 Josef Šutara transfirió el hongo al nuevo género Hemileccinum , en función de su morfología distintiva.
Sombrero: de 5 a 15 cm de diámetro, primero globoso, después convexo-aplanado, con ligeras protuberancias; margen grueso incurvado a plano.

Carne: compacta, blanca amarillenta e inmutable al corte, de color rojo en la base del pie,
sabor agradable y olor a fenol en el pie
Especies similares
Hemileccinum depilatum es la especie hermana de H. impolitum y morfológicamente muy similar,
Leccinellum lepidum también puede tener un aspecto muy similar,
Xerocomus subtomentosus carece de escabrosidad en la superficie del pie, mientras que sus poros son más grandes,

confirmaron que el boletus impolitus
no pertenece a Boletus , Xerocomus o Leccinum , ya que las colecciones identificadas como esta especie

han confirmado desde entonces la monofilia del género,
