「首領蜂」「怒首領蜂」に続くCAVEの縦スクロールシューティング。メインショット、パワーショットの使い分けがポイントで、１体の敵にパワーショットを当ててメインショットでトドメを刺すと、その敵に当たっているパワーショットの弾数＋１の倍率が敵破壊時の点数に掛かるというスコアシステムとなっている。また、ガードバリアは一般的なボムとは違い、ボタンを押し続けた時間分エネルギーを消費してバリアを張り、その後ボタンを離すと強力なエネルギーを前方に撃つという少々特殊なものとなっている。速度が遅い大量の弾幕、自機の小さい当たり判定、デカキャラ破壊時の爽快感、力の注がれた演出など、文句無しの名作と言える作品。全５ステージの１週エンド。
