How I mix my paints. Acrylic Paint for Dutch pours. Fluid art.

Описание к видео How I mix my paints. Acrylic Paint for Dutch pours. Fluid art.

Hello, my name is Ellie Griffin. I have been exploring and using the acrylic fluid art technique for the past few years. I particularly love the Dutch pour technique which was introduced by Rinske Douna @RinskeDouna. Her art is amazing!! I love to modify the Dutch pour by doing finger swipes to this technique which is known as a Botanical Dutch pour. This technique originated by Tina inspired Art @TinasInspiredArt. Check it out as it certainly lives up to its name for a botanical feel to the Dutch Pour, just beautiful!
I also enjoy discovering other fluid art methods to create beautiful paintings.

This video is a tutorial on how I mix my paints to create beautiful Dutch pours.

Most of my paints are acrylic Global paints. This is a brand that is Australian made and easily accessible in most art stores.
Base colour mixed is custom-made using Global paints. In this video I mixed a base colour using Global impasto Periwinkle colour and added smidge of yellow, red and blue to create a beige colour.
Base colours also has Australian Floetrol added approximately 50%
Three top colours were mixed:
1. Turquoise (Global impasto)
2. Cool blue mixed with metallic Pearl white (both Global impasto)
3. Iridescent Gold (Pebeo Studio acrylics)
Top colours have all had water added to bring to a fluid Dutch pour consistency.
