American Idol winner ABI CARTER's new single, "Peppermint Sky", is just a lovely song!

If you didn't already know, we LOVE Abi Carter here! I have been a fan of hers since her audition in the last season of American Idol, and did analyses on multiple of her performances. Please check that out on my channel!

The question was always going to be, "What kind of music will she release next?". We never quite know what a winner of one of these kinds of comps will do once the hype dies down... There are also contractual obligations with the show, possible a record label, etc. And then, always the very real question about how they will stay true to themselves, given the newfound fame.

Join me as I analyse this new single of Abi's, discussing the songwriting a little, het choice of key and vocal application, whether or not I feel the song is making a statement about who she is becoming as an artist, and so on. I would love to hear YOUR thoughts!
