Northern blotting is used to detect gene expression or RNA. This video explains Northern Blotting | Northern Blotting Technique | Northern Blotting Procedure in detail with principle and procedure.
Steps of Northern blotting includes:
1. Isolation of RNA from sample.
2. Separating it by Formaldehyde gel electrophoresis.
3. Transferring the bands on Nylon membrane.
4. Fixing the bands on membrane by UV light or heat.
5. Hybridisation and washing.
6. Detection.
