Elmhurst college jazz band - live in Košice (2019)

Exceptional big band from USA, which is worth paying attention, heard listeners of jazz music in Košice. Elmhurst College Jazz Band led by Doug Beach has received worldwide recognition. In 2014 this bigband won the prestigious Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards in the category of large jazz groups. Young musicians from the United States performed in the Kasárne/Kulturpark on July 11, 2019.

Elmhurst College Jazz Band has also been recognized by world jazz legends: Clark Terry, Lee Konitz, Rob McConnell, Nicholas Payton, Randy Brecker and Bob Brookmeyer. In 2001 he accompanied the Dee Dee Bridgewater at the Chicago Jazz Festival at Grant Park. Elmhurst College Jazz Band regularly performs with world jazz stars.
