A local developer has filed plans for a new mixed-use project in Morrisville with thousands of square feet of retail space and dozens of apartments.

Dubbed Davis Drive Apartments, site plans filed to the town feature 8,800 square feet of retail and fifty apartments across two 4-story buildings. The project developer is Raleigh-based Macallan Construction.

Both buildings will feature retail space on the ground floor and apartments on floors two through four. Apartments will include seven one-bedroom units, thirty-three two-bedroom units, and ten three-bedroom units.

The project is situated on three acres at 3611 Davis Drive. The property is owned by Apollo USA, a Cary-based real estate investment company owned by Dr. Sankar Adusumilli.

The company paid just under $1 million for the property in 2015.
