Hello all and welcome back to yet another exciting video about foxes. In my last video I acted out what it is like to have a red fox. In this video I'm going to show you ways that foxes express their emotions using several different clips from various days in 2020. Charlie is a lot of things, but "bottled up" isn't one of them. He has always been great at expressing himself. He is quite loud and very animated most of the time. The problem is he has all of these big emotions trapped in that little 15 pound body so they come out in funny and often annoying ways. from begining to end, here are the emotions, feelings, and attitudes of Charlie:

Clip 1: Hunger: Charlie gets really annoying when he wants food. He will stare in the window, make unhappy high pitched noises when i go to pet him (because he doesn't want to be pet, he wants food!) and his nose will be going crazy.

clip 2: When Charlie is feeling affectionate and loving he will brush past my leg like a cat, he will also wag his tail which shows how happy he is that I'm outside with him.

Clip 3: When Charlie is grumpy or unhappy he will make cackling, hissing and snorting noises, and will drag his feet and try to run away. Very common fox behaviors.

clip 4: Foxes are very good at relaxing and stretching. Believe it or not, he is great at being calm sometimes. He will often lay next to me in the grass when he is very calm..

clip 5: When Charlie wants me to play with him he will nip at my hands, legs, arms etc. Its his way of dragging me off the chair to chase him around.

clip 6: Charlie does enjoy being pet. He likes belly rubs and head scratches like a dog, and when he wants to be pet he will usually sit in an upright position and then lay down once we pet his chest. It usually turns into him using our hands as chew toys though.

clip 7 and 8: Foxes, like people, can get very lonely and needy. When this happens he will walk right in front of me as I'm walking away from him to try to prevent me from moving forward. He will also scream at the tops of his lungs when he wants me to come outside and play with him. That scream in particular is a fox call for other foxes (or friends) to come play.
