In 1664 vikramaabd era, Goswami Tulsidas, suffered through painful bodily disorders and several treatments were done to get relief, however nothing helped to get relief from the excruciating pain. After long time of suffering through terrific pain, Goswami Tulsidas, an ardent devotee of Lord Hanuman, then invoked Lord Hanuman and started writing a heartful prayer, comprising of 44 verses. Thereafter Goswami Tulsidas got relief from all his serious illnesses and healthily recovered by the Divine blessings of Lord Hanuman.
It is believed that regular recitation of Hanuman Bahuk by believers cures critical illnesses and helps to lead a healthy and peaceful life.
