It is very common on Ford Focus for the radio to stop working. Radio consists of 3 parts: Stereo unit, LCD Display unit and Keypad. Most often the stereo unit goes bad.

If replacing with a used stereo from a donor Ford Focus, make sure to look at the radio serial numbers. These Focuses come with 10-15 different radios and radio options. Unfortunately you will have to match with your serial code.

Other option is to have the stereo unit fixed. Connections on the motherboard get loose and need to be soldered back together.
