Trail Report: Miller Jeep Trail and Lockwood Creek - June 2024 (High Clearance Recommended)

Thank you for joining us on our 3rd annual O4Lo trail run through Lockwood Creek and Miller Jeep trail. Big thanks to @k9projectworks @4122inc @O4lo - and team members who helped spotting, navigating traffic and picking up trash along this recently opened trail.

The Lockwood Trail (127) and the Miller Jeep Trail (129) are located in the Mt. Pinos Ranger District of the Los Padres National Forest near Frazier Park. The Forest Service has rated both trails as "most difficult" (Black Diamond) for 4x4 vehicles because they are steep and rocky. However any trail rated Jeep and/or high clearance 4x4 can do these two trails. Because of brush, there is a possibility of some pin striping. Current Conditions as of June 2024: Moderate to Difficult
- Steep, rutted ascents / descents
- Loose rock and fine dust present. Drive slow
- Water crossings through Piru Creek and Lockwood Creek (10-12" deep)
- Overgrown bushes with pinstriping likely
- High clearance 4x4 vehicles with at least 1 locker recommended
