Victory Amplifiers V40 The Duchess – Official Video

Welcome to the official video for the Victory Amplification V40 The Duchess 40-watt head. Please note there is also a V40 The Viscount model, which is exactly the same amp but in 1x12 combo format, so you can expect it sound very similar indeed!

The music for this demo was recorded in a studio using the V40 head through the Victory 1x12 speaker cabinet with Celestion G12M-65 Creamback speaker. The guitars are a Gibson Derek Trucks Signature SG, Fender John Mayer Stratocaster and Gibson 50th Anniversary 1963 ES-335.

The V40 is designed to work well with pedals, so during the demo there is a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver, Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer, TC Electronic Hall Of Fame Reverb and TC Electronic Flashback Mini delay. The overdrive pedals are mentioned specifically within the video; the Hall Of Fame is used only for the modulated reverb on the Strat intro section and the very last chord. The Flashback Mini is used in the second part of the melodic bit on each guitar – you can hear it.

Every single guitar part - including the bass - was recorded using the V40 The Duchess.
