Water, Fire, Ningi, Air, Prithvi .. Where are Panchabhuta Shivlingas..

Panchabhutas are the source of life for every creature in creation. The all-pervasive Supreme Lord Shiva is also the Panchabhutas himself. He is the water, light, air, He is the sky, He is the earth.
Paramashiva, who is a panchabhutatmanya form, appeared in the five kshetras as a linga form. They are known as Panchabhuta Linga Kshetra. Let's know where these panchabhuta lingas are and what are their features...

1.Akashalingam-Chidambaram
Akasha Lingam, one of the Panchabhuta Lingams, is located in Koluvutiri in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. Chit means knowledge and Ambaram means sky. Denoting that God is formless and infinite, His essence has no limits....there is only empty space where Moolavirat should be. The formless Lord is worshiped here. It is famous as the place where Lord Shiva enjoyed himself. That is why Lord Shiva is present here in the form of Natarajaswamy. The 9 gates of this temple are said to be indicators of Navandhras. There is a small door on the right side of Natarajaswamy in the sanctum sanctorum and the image of 'Yantra' is reflected on the wall. When this curtain is removed, the golden bilva documents are seen hanging down to indicate the presence of God. The outer side of this screen is black to represent ignorance and the inner side is red to represent knowledge and liberation.

2. Prithvi Lingam-Kanchi
Among the Panchabhutalingas, the site where the Prithvi Linga is measured is the Ekambareswara Temple in Kanchi, Tamil Nadu. It is said that Goddess Parvati made this Shiv Linga out of clay. At one point Gangamma... tried to drown Linga. It is said that Goddess Parvati then touched the linga and protected it, and as proof of that, the marks of Amma's jewels are seen. Swami is called Ekambaru because he appeared under the mango tree.

3. Vayulingam- Srikalahasti
Vayulingam emerged spontaneously in Srikalahasti, Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Normally no air is allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum of any temple. According to Agama Shastra, the sanctum sanctorum is built in the same way. The sanctum sanctorum of Srikalahasti is the same. But the lamp on either side of the Lord is constantly fluttering in the wind. These two lamps are equidistant from the nostrils of the Lord. It is said that this happens by touching the breath of Swami. That's why it is known as Vaylinga here.

4. Jalalingam- Jambukeswaram
Jambukeswaram is another famous Panchabhutalinga Kshetra in Tamil Nadu. It is said that Jambukeshwaram was once abundant here due to the abundance of Jambu trees. It is said that Lord Shiva, who was pleased with the penance of the sage Shambhu, appeared in Linga form. Jambukeshwar who shines on the banks of Kaveri river is water. As proof of this, water is constantly flowing from his drinking fountain. To make the devotees aware of this, a cloth is covered over the panapatu. After a while, the cloth is removed and the water is washed again.

5.Agnilingam-Arunachalam
We have seen God shining on the hill but the field where God is shining as a hill is Arunachalam. The Lord here is called Annamalai. This Arunachalam is the place where Lord Parameshvara shines as Agnilinga. The hill here is also red in color as a symbol of Agni Tattva. Devotees believe that circumambulating Arunachalam Hill is like circumambulating Lord Shiva.
