Day – 182

Chapter 11 – śloka 01:
अर्जुन उवाच ।
मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यमध्यात्मसंज्ञितम् ।
यत्त्वयोक्तं वचस्तेन मोहोऽयं विगतो मम ॥

arjuna uvāca ।
madanugrahāya paramaṁ guhyamadhyātmasaṁjñitam ।
yattvayoktaṁ vacastena moho'yaṁ vigato mama ॥

Word by Word Meaning:
arjunaḥ uvāca – Arjuna said;
mat-anugrahāya – out of compassion towards me;
paramam – supreme;
guhyam – secret;
adhyātma – that which concerns the Self;
saṁjñitam – called;
yat – which;
tvayā – by You;
uktam – spoken;
vacaḥ – words;
tena – by that;
mohaḥ – delusion;
ayam – this;
vigataḥ – is dispelled;
mama – my;

Chapter 11 – śloka 02:
भवाप्ययौ हि भूतानां श्रुतौ विस्तरशो मया ।
त्वत्तः कमलपत्राक्ष माहात्म्यमपि चाव्ययम् ॥

bhavāpyayau hi bhūtānāṁ śrutau vistaraśo mayā ।
tvattaḥ kamalapatrākṣa māhātmyamapi cāvyayam ॥

Word by Word Meaning:
bhava – origin;
āpyayau – dissolution;
hi – indeed;
bhūtānām – of all beings;
śrutau – have been heard;
vistaraśaḥ – in detail;
mayā – by me;
tvattaḥ – from You;
kamalapatra-akṣa – O Krishna, the lotus-eyed one;
māhātmyam – greatness;
api – also;
ca – and;
avyayam – inexhaustible;

Chapter 11 – śloka 03:
एवमेतद्यथात्थ त्वम् आत्मानं परमेश्वर ।
द्रष्टुमिच्छामि ते रूपम् ऐश्वरं पुरुषोत्तम ॥

evametadyathāttha tvam ātmānaṁ parameśvara ।
draṣṭumicchāmi te rūpam aiśvaraṁ puruṣottama ॥

Word by Word Meaning:
evam – thus;
etat – it is;
yathā – as it is;
āttha – have described;
tvam – You;
ātmānam – Yourself;
parama-īśvara – O Supreme Lord;
draṣṭum – to see;
icchāmi – I wish;
te – Your;
rūpam – form;
aiśvaram – divine;
puruṣa-uttama – O Krishna, best of all the beings;

Explanation (śloka 01, 02 & 03):
Enlightened by the magnitude of Krishna's vibhūtis, Arjuna realises that Krishna is the immortal Supreme Lord of all creation, both manifest and unmanifest. Earlier, Arjuna considered Krishna his best friend, but with the realisation that He is the Universal God, he is eager to see with his own eyes the magnificence of Krishna's viśvarūpa.

Meaning (śloka 01):
Arjuna said: By [hearing] Your words on that supreme secret called adhyātma, which You have spoken out of compassion towards me, my delusion has now been dispelled.

Meaning (śloka 02):
O lotus-eyed one (Krishna), I have indeed heard in detail from You the origin and the dissolution of all beings, and also Your inexhaustible greatness.

Meaning (śloka 03):
O Supreme Lord, You are exactly what You have described Yourself to be. O Krishna, the best of all the beings, [now] I wish to see Your divine form.
