Mai Mahiu Travellers Church in Mai Mahiu, Kenya, was built by Italian Prisoners of War in 1942.
It is arguably one of the smallest churches in the world located right in the heart of our beautiful motherland Kenya. It sits along Kamandura - Mai Mahiu - Narok Rd, Kiambu county right close to the border with Nakuru county.
The church can seat only 12 people, symbolic of the 12 apostles. The 3 staircases at the entrance depict the Holy Trinity; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. The 2 crosses and a compass on the roof mean that the church will stay for as long as the world will turn around it.
