Scunthorpe United 2-3 Buxton FC

If you went yesterday you probably don’t want to relive the game, unless a Buxton fan. Having plenty of possession and chances means nothing unless you score the goals to go with it. Buxton deserved everything they got. Played with a high tempo, never giving a moment to Scunthorpe players to settle with the ball. Made us uncomfortable in closing us down. We have no right to think teams will let us play. We need to up our tempo, we need to not leave acres of space in the middle, we need to get rid of 5 at the back. We need to stop picking what appears to be favourites. We have a squad to utilise, when we appear to be stuck in a rut. Others should be brought in to the starting XI. If you’re a player watching the team have poor performances week in week out and nothing changes. What must be going through the mind 🫣 Let’s utilise them all and make the changes.

The fans rightly or wrongly will start drifting away. Only so much good will they can give. These next few games will either be the start or a huge turnaround or slip down the slope further…

Thank you to all, the cheers, the boos, the groans and the moans are all part of the vlog experience for those watching. It gives a true reflection of the fans feelings. Even the emotional outbursts that are kept in. It’s football, have to take the rough and the smooth in equal measures.
