Let's start with some details:

So, if you are looking for the lightest shoes that you can find, these Vibram Five Fingers shoes are probably it. Personally, I am not a fan of the whole finger idea, but, oh well. These did make it on a few online lists like best barefoot shoes for running and best minimalist shoes.
