Taking the Nilgiri Mountain Railway Toy Train to Ooty | Ooty Lake, Botanical Gardens, Moddys

Nilgiri Mountain Railway is one of the 3 UNESCO World Heritage mountain railways of India. After my comfortable stay in Coonoor, I took the toy train from Coonoor to Ooty. This was the first toy train I ever sat on, but have no memories of, as it was over 30 years ago. The journey is incredible and so beautiful wiith tea gardens, tall forests, mountains and beautiful hill villages and roads. In Ooty I stayed at Zostel and explored the nearby areas including the famous Botanical Gardens. I also tried a South Indian thali and got lots of chocolates from Moddys.
