Here are some thoughts:

Reach out to everyone you think may help you get into project.

It could be your project and idea after you finish the first stage. Just design protocol and find a team and supervisor. May be simple cross sectional study.

Many collaborations for data collection as global surg just google it.

It could be your collaboration with an active staff member.

It could be an online research group such as ImedRA for students.

It could be an opportunity through LinkedIn or Twitter or Facebook.


Just get into it. There are many people interested around and you will find something to fit you but first be qualified for the opportunity by giving some effort.
