Shivaganga Hill Trekking

Shivaganga is located 54 Kms from Bangalore. It's also known as Dakshina Kashi of south because of the mountain is shaped as a shivalinga and its Gangadhareshwara temple, Olakal Teertha, Nandi Statue, Patalagange.
The trail to the peak of the hill is steep and well marked. Either carved into the rocks supporting with rails and rocky steps makes the trail suitable for beginners to hike. A few stalls spread across serving food and drinks are often found throughout the night.
The vertical ascent trekking is approximately 800 metres and can be covered in less than an hour. However, the trail becomes steep and narrow at the end - safety rails are provided in such areas where steep or carved rocky steps.
