China’s New Cultural Revolution: Should You STILL Learn Chinese?

The most common question people ask me is why study Chinese? The answer to that question has evolved over time, but as China’s slips deeper into authoritarianism and people like Chloe Zhao fall victim to rampant nationalism, I tried my best to shed some light on the topic.

(I recorded this before the shooting in Atlanta; my view is and always has been if you're racist, you're a moron too dense to grasp the complexity and beauty of a multicultural society. If you're interested, I wrote a satire piece about this very subject a year ago, before it was "trending."
