Biography
Heather Labonté has studied and performed bellydance, jazz, ballet, and modern, among others, in her sixteen years of dance. Her eclectic performing arts background also spans music, theatre, and improvisational comedy.

As a soloist, Heather performs regularly in Toronto and her hometown, St. John's, with special appearances in other North American cities, including Montreal and Las Vegas. She is a lead dancer in Lavish Dance, and toured in Summer 2011 with the company's Fringe production, Affogato.

Heather relocated to Toronto to continue her studies with her teacher Audra at the Dark Side Studio in 2009, where she now teaches regular classes and workshops. She continues her studies in hip hop, modern dance and classical bellydance and holds her Phase II: Cultivation certification from Rachel Brice's 8 Elements™. She travels regularly to study with Heather Stants, Amy Sigil, Mira Betz and Zoe Jakes, and others. (Full dance CV is available here.)

Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in History and Political Science and works as a social media consultant in the television industry
