PADRAIG AMOND: Waterford Striker on European hopes, FA Cup run and Speaking with Guardiola

Joining me on this episode is Waterford striker Padraig Amond.

Currently sitting on 11 goals in the League of Ireland, Padraig is one of the countries most in form players this season.

Having come through the ranks at Shamrock Rovers, he joined Sligo Rovers in 2010 and scored 23 goals that season.

His form earned him a move to Portuguese Premier League side Pacos de Ferreira, where he went on to play against Andre Villas Boas’ Porto side that contained the likes of James Rodriguez, Falcao, Hulk and Joao Moutinho, registering an assist for the equaliser in a 3-3 draw against them.

At Grimsby, he played in a winning side in the National League play-off final in Wembley Stadium.

Amond also enjoyed a four-year stint with Newport County. In his time there, he was a part of multiple sensational FA Cup results, including knocking out Leicester City and Middlesbrough, while also scoring in ties against Tottenham and Manchester City.
