Easy Mower Blade Sharpening with a New Jig and Flap Disc

Hey Guys! Welcome to Hack the Honey Do List. I'm excited to demonstrate how easy it is to sharpen and balance my lawn mower blades using a new mower blade sharpening jig and a flap disc on the DeWalt grinder. Follow along as I set up my new mower blade sharpener on my workbench, adjust the sharpening angle between 15-45 degrees (adjustable), and position my DeWalt cordless grinder perfectly to get the professional looking mower blade edge.

Watch the full process as I sharpen one side of the blade, then flip it over to sharpen the other side and lightly hit the back to take off the little burrs. I’ll also show you how to use a magnetic blade balancer to ensure your blades are perfectly balanced. This is crucial to prevent unnecessary vibrations that could damage your mower's spindles and bearings.

Then I show you how the balancer reacts to an unbalanced blade, so you can get a real sense of how the magnetic mower blade balancer works. Below, you’ll find links to all the tools used in this video, including the DeWalt 18v to 20v battery adapter that powers my 18v DeWalt grinder.
