RWS Club; The German CCI Standard? Tikka T1X

Today, I’m testing RWS Club .22LR, the most affordable option in RWS’s lineup, part of their Sport Line series. This ammunition is often considered RWS’s answer to CCI Standard. It features a 40-grain lead round nose (LRN) bullet, heavily coated with bullet lube, as is typical with RWS rounds. The manufacturer lists the muzzle velocity at 1082 fps, but I expect it to be slightly lower in practice, as is often the case.

For this test, I’m using my Tikka T1X, equipped with a Meopta Optika 6 scope mounted on a Spuhr mount, and the rifle is fitted with a GRS Berserk stock. It’ll be interesting to see how this ammo performs, especially considering the windy conditions we often face here.

The RWS Club is designed for accuracy at short to medium ranges and is popular for both training and competition in smallbore shooting. It’s known for being a reliable budget-friendly choice, making it comparable to CCI Standard Velocity in terms of performance and consistency. Let’s see how it stacks up today!
