"‘Di ba sabi mo kay ganda ng lahat,
Kulay rosas pa ang mga bulaklak…" 🌹

Ernani J. Cuenco became a National Artist for Music in 1999, and is known for his songs and ballads including “Diligin Mo ng Hamog ang Uhaw na Lupa,” “Pilipinas,” “Inang Bayan,” “Isang Dalangin,” “Kalesa,” “Bato sa Buhangin” and “Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal.” He is credited for enriching the Filipino ballad by adding elements of the kundiman to it.

“Nahan” (Where?) paints the scene of someone desperately yearning for a certain person, though it is unclear if their love took place in the past, will take place in the future, or if it will happen at all.

UPSO members Janine Samaniego, Julienne Bonacua, Micah James Sanchez, and Patrick Espanto perform Nahan, arranged for string quartet by Patrick Espanto. Video first premiered last July 23, 2021 at UPSO's online concert, "Sketches."
