Stakeholders call for constant health check-ups

An intergovernmental agency has sounded an alarm on the health of truck drivers who move cargo from the port of Mombasa and called for urgent regional intervention.…The Mombasa-based Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority officials said that recent tests at Malaba showed that 60 percent of the truck drivers have different health conditions. The truck drivers underwent eye check-ups , high blood pressure and diabetes tests among other ailments. The medical clinic was conducted after a road safety campaign that started from the port of Mombasa.
