Hazrat Shah Chan Charagh Mashhadi, Kazmi, Qadri, the high-ranking Wali of his time, is recognized as the patron saint of Rawalpindi city.
His shrine is located in old Rawalpindi fort (the ruins of which are no more) on the side of Bhabra Bazaar and Sarafa Bazaar, the busiest areas of the city.
By the way, Hazrat's mausoleum is the door of grace for every person, but one of its features is that, there are numerous shops around it where everything is available which is directly or indirectly associated with Ehal-e-Bait and martyrs of Karbala-e-Mualla.
Every year, the main procession of
Ashura-e-Muharram shows its presence here while Zul Jinnah offers salute to Hazrat Shah Chan Charagh. Majalis-e-Aza, Nauha Khawani, Soz-o-Salam are held at the shrine on daily basis, while gatherings of qawwalis are also took place on special days especially on Annual Urs and Thursdays.
There are always lamps and bonfires lit here by those who come to pray and pay tribute to Hazrat Shah Chan Charagh.

Shah Chan Chiragh is the 18th-century Sufi saint buried at interior Rawalpindi, His Darbar is the historical heritage of Interior Pindi where devotees from across the world visit to get spiritual peace.
He is the cousin of Sufi Saint Barri Imam and he is popular for his teachings of promoting love, peace, tolerance, and brotherhood among people.
