📍For this area tour, we're headed west to Clemson, SC! When you think of Clemson, you have to think of Clemson University and actually the history of the school and town go hand in hand.

Originally the town was called Calhoun after Vice President John C. Calhoun. He left his land, Fort Hill, to his daughter and her husband Thomas Green Clemson. Upon their passing, they donated the land to become an agricultural school which eventually became Clemson University in 1889. The City of Calhoun kept its name until 1943 when they rebranded as Clemson and ever since this college town has taken off to be a powerhouse in sports and academics! 🐯

When it comes to bites and sites, the area has a couple we can't forget to mention! A staple to the area is The Esso Club which is Clemson's first sports bar and the perfect place to watch the game. For the coffee drinkers, Moe Joe Coffee has a laid back atmosphere perfect for getting some work done while sipping on a nice cup of coffee! If you're looking for a great spot to grab a cold beer, check out Kite Hill Brewing which was actually established by several Clemson Alumni. For sites, the South Carolina Botanical Garden is open year round, free to the public, and you can see some indigenous and rare species of plants! Lastly, if you're into sports, catch a Clemson game and we can guarantee you'll have a great experience!🍻☕️🪴🏈
