VERSE
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish 2 Corinthians 2:15

EXPLANATION
Blessed be the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. A life washed by Christ will naturally shine for the glory of God. When we choose to live in a way that pleases the Lord, the goodness of heaven begins to follow us. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 2:15 that we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ both among those who are saved and those who are perishing. This means our very lives are meant to carry the fragrance of Christ to the world around us.

The Scriptures show us this truth clearly through the life of Paul. He said, I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me Galatians 2:20. Once he was Saul, living against Christ, but when Jesus met him, his life was completely transformed. He became a vessel that carried the fragrance of Christ everywhere he went.

Dear parents and beloved friends, have you truly given your heart to the Lord. Your life is the first Bible your children and others read. The Scripture says, Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles that whereas they speak against you as evildoers they may by your good works which they shall behold glorify God in the day of visitation 1 Peter 2:12. When we live a holy life, God is glorified through us.

The Word of God also says, That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God Colossians 1:10. When the blood of Jesus washes us, we become a new creation. The Lord goes before us, guides us, and leads our lives in His perfect will.

John the Baptist was called a burning and a shining light John 5:35. In the same way, the Bible urges us, Do all things without murmurings and disputings Philippians 2:14 so that our lives may shine without blemish. Women are also called to shine for God’s glory through good works as taught in 1 Timothy 2:10.

A life that truly belongs to Christ does not need advertisement. Just like a flower spreads its fragrance silently, a Christ filled life draws many without words. When our lives are holy, undefiled, and pure, others are led to Christ by what they see in us.

Sadly, when believers live in lies, dishonesty, immorality, and compromise, the name of the Lord is blasphemed. The world watches us closely. Therefore, let us examine ourselves daily and ask the Lord to help us live as true witnesses, spreading only the fragrance of Christ.

Beloved, guard your witness with holiness and godly fear. Let your life speak Christ always.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank thee for calling me to belong to Christ. Let my life reflect your grace, truth, and holiness. Wash me with your precious blood and make me a new creation in you. May every word I speak and every deed I do proclaim the goodness of Christ. Help me to walk in your sight with godly fear and purity. Let my life be a sweet fragrance that brings glory to your name and draws others to your love. I surrender my whole heart to you. Lead me and guide me always. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
