Скачать или смотреть Yashicamat 124 Shutter Control Knob Stripped

So my Yashicamat 124G model shutter control knob decided that it wanted to be stripped and quit working on me. You can hear that it is just rotating around and just making a grinding noise. This is most likely due to the gears being stripped just enough to not catch but still have some area left that are touching one another.

Be advised that this was working fine and then all of a sudden stripped. There was no in between working and not working. It was working fine one day and then stripped the next. I might try to open the camera up and see what is going on inside but I doubt I will be able to find the parts to replace the gear or gears. I know I can send it off but that will probably cost more than I care to pay. And since I have the older Yashicamat 124 I will just let it sit for now. I like the older model anyway.

If you go and buy one of these and are able to hold it before purchase make sure you are doing a complete op check of everything. You don't want to get home and find something doesn't work because you forgot to check it out in the store. Obviously if buying off ebay you are relegated to the trust that you have with the seller.
